If a device (e.g. a phone) is plugged into a USB port while the car is off, I have found that the ports continue to draw power. Just wondering if a device plugged in and left unattended for a while will drain the car's main battery. Or do the ports turn off when the main battery falls below a predetermined threshold?
For example, can I just plug a dashcam into the USB charge port (not the charge/data port) instead of buying a hardwire kit with fuse tap?
